Air New Zealand began showing this in-flight safety video on October 31, 2012. I didn’t find out about it until today. The guy at 01:26 is cute.
Next year will see many Hobbit tie-in calendars, books and much more, including a “2013 Annual”. Flickr user BexlinJ recently uploaded some images from this Annual, including one of Thranduil, the Elvenking of Mirkwood and father of Legolas. As Robopanda on Uproxx pointed out, Thranduil looks absolutely FABulous. I think so too, and this made me think of the Very Secret Diaries where Legolas never missed an opportunity to point out that among the Fellowship, he was always the prettiest.

Apparently the official Twitter feed for The Hobbit films went live this week.
On 15 August, Warner Brothers Entertainment released three new photo stills from the set of The Hobbit.
